Annie’s first interest in anatomical and biochemical illustration began at Kansas State University where she studied human anatomy and cadaver dissection. After graduating, she worked as an autopsy technician at the Sedgwick County Regional Forensic Science Center furthering her interest in anatomy and forensics.
Soon after, Annie was accepted into the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, one of the five medical schools in North America that offer a Masters of Medical Illustration. The program at MCG consists of medical school studies including traditional art, digital media, gross anatomy, pathology, surgical techniques and observation.
With a forensic background, Annie took immediately to medical litigation and worked for almost five years in-house at the Law Offices of Frank Branson in Dallas. Finding a chance to live in Colorado, she spent almost two years as Art Director in a medical litigation graphics house in Denver, managing ten artists and directing 3D animations and interactive presentations.
Currently, Annie Gough Illustrations provides exhibit consultation, demonstrative evidence, mediation and courtroom presentations, textbook illustration, patient education and graphic design. |
